this is a bathroom concept for the 606 trail in chicago. the toilets use a BIOGAS system that converts human waste into methane gas.
the design is meant to evoke a CLUSTERING of molecules. there are nine bathroom pods (and one elevator) “clustering” around a large communal space.
within the large space, consumers are encouraged to LEARN more about the biogas system and even purchase canisters of the gas to take home and use for cooking.
this was my first attempt at a sustainability-based project looking to promote an ECO-FRIENDLY way of life.
